Actually I have often thought about this situation, and I thought the answer is the family will have to return to their home country.
However, please do consult an attorney ASAP. Sertasheep, maybe you could connect him to Ms Henner!

This is true. A majority of the Dems are sensible people. BTW, although they are against outsourcing, they are not against immigration. The two issues are quite different.

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!
Now my FP is not done and I am current next month.
My company does only paper based filing for EAD. (Is e-filing costly?)
Will I not get any FP notice again?
I have tried calling TSC and no response after putting a SR. I tried dropping in at an ASC here and they didn't take my FP either..
Does paper based filing not trigger FP? Is it slower?
FP is mainly for E-filing folks, paper filers need not take FP.

All checks cashed June 8th. It was sent to Nebrasks. I hardy just could read the SRC letters in back of my check. Online image in not good. I guess it has gone to Texas sercice center.

Well, culture has tremendous impact on people. Looking at the state of our country, what have we become in last 63+ years? Major percentage of population still live under poor living conditions. We are one of the most corrupted countries in the world. Some people want to live in denial. Boasting about greatness that doesn't exist is of no use to the current and future generations. We have to make our country great by changing the conditions. In order to do that, first we need to acknowledge that there are serioous issues. Unless we all unitedly agree that the conditions are pathetic and will worsen, nothing is going to change.

I came to this Country on a Student Visa - This Country gave me decent paying job, much much better quality of life, low cost of living, Freedom of expression/speech, good amount of free time to invest for my personal interests.

Hey, Anyone whose checks cashed but still didnt get their receipts? My checks were cashed 5 days ago. So far no receipt notices.. I got the receipt no's from back of the checks and the lud on 765 is 9/7 but it still says we mailed out a notice on how we process this case.....

called USCIS on jan 4th, they said they are scheduling, it will take 3 weeks to get the notice, till now nothing.
called yesterday again, this time they said 45 days. Opened SR. I am hearing no use with SR. Not sure what is going on?
Meanwhile, i gave this procedure to a freind and they got notices.
Can anybody tell me if there will be an LUD on i-485 when they issue a FP notice?

Using spouse's name is a great idea ...
If i say i'm joining Masters Program then also they wont give the Letter
- they dont want to lose the FAT billing rate out of me.
I suggest that you should request him and convince him that you are not going to quit and make up some story like your spouse wants EAD to work and you are joining masters program etc.

Everybody has been waiting for his/her green card and congratulations to all those who has got their GC. On the other hand it is really unfair and to some extent unethical on the part of USICS not follow a fair system.
There are several people in 2004, 2005 who have been paitently waiting for their turn only to see that people behind them getting approved.
Several of us have writtent to Ombudsman, Director but of no avail.
Not sure what else can be done? Any Idea? Do we have any liaison with AILA who can take up this matter.
I can understand the frustration here. The problem is, USCIS has been doing this for several years and everyone knows this.
Even Ombudsman mention this in his report! So I dont think we can write much of letters about this...it is a well known and acknowledged fact!
Now what is the solution? The problem is USCIS claims that they do not have enough resouces to implement FIFO. Or may be they do not have a system to utilize available resources to do so.
This is not likely to change in next couple of months. So with all due respect, everyone with current PD but still waiting for GC will just have to wait and hope for the best. I wish my good luck to all. The best we can expect from USCIS at this point is to use all the visa numbers and not to waste any.
On a long run, this does need to change. It will take several months or years to change and it is worthwhile to attempt our efforts in that direction. Or suggest something in that line to include in upcoming CIR next year.

Thanks for your reply. Lawyer sent 140 to Texas. But, it was transfered to NSC and got a receipt from NSC for 140. Do you think it is transferred to CSC not toTSC?

Move fast and hold a rally or send out flowers to Obama administration for their racism towards immigrants.
Act fast, I know 20th is close, think about is as an emergency
Now is the time to really take this to the next level and push for real changes to employment-based processing. Or you can simply accept the reality that you have to wait ten years longer than everyone else to get a green card

I personally think GC quota has a rationale behind it. It allows for a reasonable share to go to smaller countries so that the US population maintains its diversity. Besides, near the end of the year, if the numbers are unused, they are rolled over to larger countries like India and China, thereby automatically eliminating the quota.
If the original intend was to promote diversity (whether it is in FB or EB immigration), quota should be based on ethnicity of US population ( GC holders and citizens ). Ceiling should be applicable to countries those have a high percentage of representation in US population. Does India or China constitute a majority in US population ? No way. Indians and Chinese are a minority in US population.
The concept of "diversity" by country is a racially motivated law. It does not promote diversity. In fact it limits diversity.
