I did cate 2 FP and received LUDs on I-765 and I-485 but when I received the EAD card, it said FP is not available. Based on that I assumed the FP was only I-485 related.

There could be 3 reasons , which i could think of
1. The CIR, which was providing amnesty to aroun 12 million illegal residents in the US,so they wanted to keep the legal residents happy.
2.The DOS wanted to force USCIS to finish its backlog, if the dates were current and USCIS would have to accept our applications then they would have to process a lot of EAD/AP and would required a lot of work, They could put the 485 in queue but not AP/EAD. So the only way for USCIS was to process the backlog(At least many legal residents got GCS)
3.USCIS wanted to avoid accepting these applications till July 30, to get more fees( I think this is the least possible reason)

kg318... from your initial post you indicated that you "demanded" money back and noted that Company A's practice was "against the law". Now, they are using the same law against you. Not saying it is fair or pretty. Just remember, what you sow, you shall reap.
It is generally poor practice to go for gung-ho activism in a situation where you are unclear about the law (e.g., non compete) and unable to get good counsel (e.g. immigration and business law attorneys).
Just keep this in mind. Long term, your peace of mind is worth more than $4K ... just think if there are other ways in which you could have handled this.... in case such event pop up again.
If I were you, I would have a civil conversation with that company. Tell them that economics took over empathy, that you wish to be in a position where you have less financial loss and would appreciate an amicable parting of ways.
It's a small world out there. Dont pi*s on anyone, lest it come back to wet your backside!
Sabre rattling might get you out of this one, but the world still remains a small place!

if there are more than 200 people then weekend works too, it will get coverage, but otherwise anything in DC must happen beginning of the week. Senators congressmen usually leave town Thursday night. So if the intent is to show tourists or if the intent is to show lawmakers is what we need to decide. If the numbers are high on a weekend, then automatically there will be press coverage. Somebody needs to prepare press statements and so on. It not about convenience more than needs, lets weigh in how many people can we get to participate first, firmly.
I agree weekend we can get max participation . Also keep an eye on weather ( we dont want rain/t-stroms) and parking .

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved, please complete a Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form. If you do not have this form, you can download it from our website or you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. A single post from CORE IV can make a huge difference to herd the cattle (including myself) here. For Instance, AILA letter asking for H1B and EB relief today.
I had posted a modified version of their letter in our forum in which I had deleted asking for raise in H1 and retained only EB part. IF IV core thinks
this is a good (or a bad ) idea and suggests what to do, our members will be energized.
For my part, I have added my personal story, added the EB relief part of AILA letter and emailed two senators and one congressman in my state.
Also, the same letters signed are ready in an envelope to be snail mailed.
So, IV core, from time to time, when there is a campaign by AILA and other organizations which could help us, please suggest how you would like us to proceed.I am not trying to create more work for you, but as a member, I think it would benefit all of us.

Your idea is good and I would encourage you to go ahead and send such letters to lawmakers. Any effort that is in line with IV's agenda and helps us in any way will be helpful to all of us. IV endorsed efforts are listed in action alerts page. If you choose to go and meet the lawmakers we have put together all information for this purpose

as a policy we are only focussed on issues faced by high-skilled legal immigrants waiting in line for their greencards.

I am happy to report that we got our approvals. No SMS, no emails, no status change. Infact, our online status still shows RFE review. We got welcome notices yesterday and that's how we came to know about approvals. Got LUD on an old H1B on 8/14/2010.
