My 485 application was received by TSC on July 16th. Intrestingly there are threads that are tracking applicaitons from July 2nd to July 13th and July 17 to Aug 17th? What is wrong with 16th? Are there are one with the same receipt date here?

got receipt notice dated 6th of june for 140 premium processing and got call from employer on 8th of june evening saying the case has been approved. approved in less than 3 days.
What service center was it from? Was it a concurrent filing of I140 and 485?

Hi all,
My wife and I just got receipts for our I-485, I-140, AP and EAD. The "received date" is July 7 and the "Notice Date" is September 13. I also confirmed that the checks were cashed.
I remember my attorney saying that the applications were filed at NSC but somehow my receipts came from VSC. And this morning I receive an update that my I-485 has been transferred to TSC! Here is the detail:
"On September 20, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER
PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer".

Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.

I am the same boat, got the approval email and a week later received the approval notice in the mail. Did not get welcome or CPO email. My approval notice says I MAY have to do biometrics again to get my PR card
and they will notify me about appearing for biometrics if required.
Dose your approval notice have a similar message?

I'm in ... $100 from my side.
We're lucky that IV leadership is so devoted to 'our' cause. There would be very few individuals in this world, who can even think of selling their house for benefit of a group. Hats off to Aman!!! You're a hero, sir!!!
Now here is our leader selling his personal house for a collective good, and here we are.... a group of 21000 and not more than 2000 (optimistic figure) are contributors... A big shame!!
Those who got benefited by selfless efforts of Aman, and core team, but still did not contribute ... do you have any explanation for 'yourself'?
It's not about $10, 20, 50, 100 .... A person is ready to sell his house for your cause and you can't even make a small contribution in your own cause.
Those who are not contributing, and some who still have doubts, just read numerous media reports of praise of IV and how IV was instrumental in the outcome of July 2nd visa mess. And then..
Just stand up in front of a mirror and ask yourself - is your inaction justified? Is it your pocket that does not allow you to contribute or it's just moral poverty that doesn't let you do it? Is it justified to just 'wait and watch' how others fight for you, and when it comes to reaping the fruits.. you'll run to be first in line.
Is it not the time that you come out, listen to your antar-atma (inner soul) and contribute something for your own fight....?

Cancelled 4 tickets and lost 1000 bucks. Was to fly on 6th. Never expected dates will move. MY PD Nov 2001 EB3 India.
Hoping to get receipts by 20th. Is that a fair assumption? Planning to re-book for 22nd.
Don't want to lose another dime on cancellations and re-bookings.
Advice and share your thoughts.

Dear admins,
I think deleting my post was not fair. The other people who have been bashing us with MS degrees need to also have their posts deleted.
I was not offensive in anyway, I just pointed out the reality of the situation and that is not "being offensive."
If you are afraid of alienating some of your contributors, well then by deleting the posts of ppl with Masters degrees you risk alienating them.
If I offended the admin personally if he/she does not have a masters degree, I apologize for hurting your "feelings" but that does not allow you to delete my post .
Finally, since 99% of the time the admins come back with not relevant to the thread, I agree on that ground but respectfully request the deletion of posts by a bunch of others like the "hiring manager" who instigated this discussion.

I think the whole thing was started by the guy (GCsucks) by addressing people who attend U.S universities as "Kids" and I agree with "yabadaba" that this is reality and we were just pointing out what the issues are. brickbats and concerns apart few people believe in the concept and are ready to put the money where their belief lies. So if you can do something about it do it. Other suggestions are ok may be they can be made in the other thread where there is a discussion about media attention.
Gandhi - giri works everywhere and it has worked in this country too, have you heard about civil disobedience in this country too.. if you did not then you might want to use our fav : google and look it up. - Rosa parks , does that ring a bell? sometimes simple things take you farther than highly publicized event.

On aug 9 th, USCIS nebraska center issued a total of 4063 receipt nos for 485, EAD, and APs.

From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.
We need something similar for the Sept 18th DC rally. Can you guess? :)
